So who watched it, what did you manage to take in? (I think i understood about 10% of it!) and what do you reckon?

I like the idea of a cap on the amount of total benefits one family can recieve, makes me think back to that wifeswap where that family where noone worked got about 50k and the other family both parents worked and earned less! :faint:

did anyone understand the one universal credit system with digital applications (does that mean online forms?)

and one part of tax credits is going to increase, was it family tax credits?

I watched it but didn't understand most of it tbh - my brain is struggling to cope with focusing on things I enjoy at the moment, let alone budgets!! Hehe!!

Really liked the cap on total benifits one family can recieve idea...just makes it so much fairer!

I didn't understand the universal credit system...I hope that one of the news websites puts a simple break down of it all soon so I can understand!

Think it might have been working tax credits that went up but don't quote me on that cause I'm really not sure!

I always like to watch these things so I know what's going on...but don't have any idea how it will actually effect ME and my family, if that makes sense?!

yeah im the same. i just googled it but nothings up yet that i could find. I work for NHS so i was pleased to hear the budgets protected! PHEW! I dunno what i'd do if i was made redundant!!

Yeah it's so good that they protected NHS budget...great news that your job is safe, must have been well nerve wracking for you!

Me and my husband are both self employed so biggest thing for us was when they said in last review that VAT is going up to 20%...means we have to put the price of jobs up because the materials/publishing will be more. So we'll wait and see how that effects us!

Really hoping that the tax credits will balance things out a little bit. Hmmm, think I'll leave it an hour or so and then hit google too!!

xx
