Hi we found out we are having a little girl. 2nd girl! Now my husband is Turkish so we are looking for a name that is Turkish but that is also easy to pronounce in England! I played it safe with daughter 1 and she has the name Ela (1 l as in Turkey) middle name Aleyna. We have narrowed it down to 2 names this time not wanting a middle name but the 2 we have decided are either:

Azra or Esma

I'm just asking which u prefer of the two I appreciate it thank you!

Most of my friends like Azra to just trying to get a feel for them, thanks for your opinions Im more swayed to Azra so far xx

I like Esma...but I have a thing for E names :)

I like both, I think Azra a little more.

With Esma, I should think she would get called Esme by mistake. My DD1 is Amelie and gets Amelia all the time...very annoying!

I think ela and esma are too similar, so I'd go for Azra.
Beautiful! Xx

Update : Our pink bundle is officially called Azra!! We are thrilled!
I totally get Ela sounding a bit like Esma never thought of it before until you said Aragon thank you! Thank you everyone for your opinions I appreciate it!

So now we have Ela and Azra :) xx

Could have always fused them and gone with Ezra :')
However, generally a boys name isn't it?

Azra is lovely, I love different names!! xx

Lol that reminds me of George Ezra however I have his album but yeah I think it's generally a boys thanks tho!

Yeah Azra is beautiful thanks again x

Reminds me of ezra fitz from pretty little liars lol.

Azra is lovely.

xxx

Gorgeous!!! :-D
Such a big responsibility to name your children - you have chosen well
Xx

Both sounds lovely
I like azrs because its unisajl
But Esma seems to roll off the tongue easier

Depends on surname and I'd say .

Googled the names

Esma means emerald - precious like a jewel
Azra means virgin - pure and innocent

I like both, but would probably go with Azra as it's Esma might me too similar to Ela, Azra sounds a little more unusual to me too.

I have a Turkish friend called Malika, I really love that name (I also love Zalika).
