OPKs arrive wednesday. Please instruct

Hi girlies. I'm in 1st month of trying, cycle day 26 and I decided next cycle to try opk thinggys. Was looking on eBay and saw a great deal for 50 of them so got them. But now I'm thinking as it's 1st cycle off pill and I have no idea about length of cycle etc should I start using them when they arrive as don't really think or know if I have ovulated yet but not sure. Just thinking it might be worth a shot this time if havnt ovd. Also when's best to do them? And if anyone has any other information about them then that'd be great seen as they're only cheap eBay ones so might not come with instructions???? Thank you in advance ladies.

Also as of two days ago one of OH's mates living with us as he's split with his wife. How we suppose to BD properly with him in next room? Arggghhhhhh

How awkward with his mate in the next room! Can you drag your OH off to bed whenever he's out or do you not get much time to yourself?

The opks are best taken in the afternoon - I used to do one at 2pm and one at 6pm but there's really no need to do two a day Just don't do them first thing in the morning as that is when LH production is at its highest so it appears in your urine later in the day.

If you don't know your cycle length I'd start testing a couple of days earlier than you would based on how long your cycles were before you started taking the pill There's lots of other useful info on that site too. Hi Hun, we concieved on first time using opk, I usually have a 28-29 day cycle and I started testing from day 10 coz I didn't want to miss it!! Put it this way my af started 18th dec and finally got a pos on 1st jan, found out I was pregnant on 16th jan! Usually with eBay cheapies the line had to be as dark if not darker than the test line, then as soon as u get that start bding like mad lol good luck Hun hope I've helped a tad!!!

Used the e-bay cheapies last month - they do come with instructions. I had no idea of cycle length and cos they were so cheap I started using them not long after af finished. Good luck for quiet and a bfp soon.

I came off the pill in november last year and my cycle has only just settled into a regular pattern, so i know how confusing it can be. Itll be my first month of using the OPK's, so ill keep my fingers crossed for you hun xxx
