Hi ladies,

So I have been using the ClearBlue ovulation test where you get a blank circle when there is no LH surge and a smiley when you hit your LH.

I am wondering - do you have the LH surge WHILE you are ovulating? Or do you have it just before and then your LH surge drops back to normal during ovulation?

The reason I am asking is because I took the tests starting on CD11 using first morning urine (this is just easiest for me and the test instructions say it’s OK to do so). On CD14, I took the test with first morning urine and got my first positive (smiley face). I then took the test on CD14 at 10pm and I got a negative. I took it again this morning CD15 and got a negative.

Did I miss my LH surge? So basically now am I ovulating or not? If I got the LH surge would my levels go down to normal while I ovulate and I will test negative?

Pls help! So confused and can’t find answer anywhere!!!

The surge is when there is a peak of the LH hormone present, it means that ovulation is about to happen, most likely 24 to 48 hours later.
If you had a positive on cd14 (surge) and negative on cd15, you probably ovulated on cd15 or 16. As long as you BDed the days before and on the day ovulation, you might have caught the egg.x
