OPK Confusion - Help!

Just a bit of advice needed girls. Does this make sense:

cd12 - light line
cd13 - darker than control line - hurrah
cd14(today) - very light line

cd13 is indicating the LH surge isnt it, and so ovulation is going to occur within 24-48 hours, yes? So does it make sense that cd14 is barely visisble?

Does the surge just come and go like that?

I've done the tests same time of day, with similar lack of drinking beforehand.
