OPK - Can I count this as a positive?

What does your instructions say hun I know mine say it has to be close or of equal darkness to the control line to be positive

If that’s the test line that’s darker than the control line, then yes Hun x

Ahh no the test line is lighter than the control line. I've been getting faint positives for a few days (so light they didn't show on camera) but this evening it got so much darker all of a sudden.

I've read that some people never get lines as dark as the test line so I thought I'd ask seems it got so much darker so quickly.

I'd say it's positive then hun if you never get to this dark get baby dancing

I nearly got caught out with this.. I was told as well that the “darkest” line I would have was positive for me. I had one obviously darker line when I lined all the sticks up together and could see the differences in colour.. then my sticks were blank, so I assumed that was positive. I kept testing “just in case” and a day or so later I had an “obviously” darker line compared to the other sticks. It was like 5 or so sticks had 5x the amount of colour, then my positive was 15x that colour — if that makes sense?

I would compare the sticks to see the differences, remembering that your body “gears up” for ovulation a number of times in a cycle and then when ready the LH literally surges dramatically. I also test alongside a digital test so that I can have another confirmation of a surge.

It may not be positive but even if it's starting to turn you wanna get BD. You won't know if it's your darkest dark until it gets lighter again. Positives are usually a bit darker than that.

I know i will be just as clueless as you when i do them, which will be on Saturday. My fertile window isnt until Tuesday, but i think i just want to test the water with how they work etc, as lets face it, peeing in a pot isnt normal...well usually anyway

@IVW haha yeah, I have a stack of disposable plastic drinking cups in the bathroom cabinet lol. I've been doing it since CD6 for curiosity only. Started seeing the faintest line on CD8.

I think last nights was defo my positive, loads lighter this morning. Will post the pic when I'm home, won't upload here.

I take it back! You were absolutely right.

Last night was a medium pos, this morning there was barely a second line but now i just got this!

It's like my body gave me a pre-warning to pay attention haha.

My app says I am fertile next Tuesday and only really wanted to test the strips out and to my surprise it was a positive I then put that into my app and it then changed to show the past week as being my fertile period eughhh hate these apps.

Were just gonna crack on and dtd.

How long is your period cycle? mines 30-31 days

I wish I knew, I *think* I'm 28-30 days. I used to get my period the end of every month, now it's the start, so it seems to average out around 28-30, that's what I'm going on.

Are you using an app to input your periods?

No normally I don't bother, I had to for a while when I donated eggs but that was August last year.
