OpK as PG test?

Just curious if anyone has ever tried This? Varying opinions on internet about whether it works or not. Trying to wait until Tues to poas but had an opk left so thought what the hell nothing to lose. Got a faint double line....hence am intrigued. Am 4 days missed AF today just for ref x

I did one when I when late and got a line as dark as control line
Not sure if faint lines mean anything though

This has been accurate fior me twice before however my line was really dark each time, darker than the control line.

I think if you're late for af you'd be getting dark lines on an opk if pg, we always have fluctuating levels of lh in our system which could explain your faint line. I've only got dark lines on opks after positive HPTs. Sorry I know my experience isn't great news for you but fx for pg test! x

As others have said I did too, but the line was super dark. I almost always get some kind of line on an OPK during the month X

Thanks ladies. Interesting as had no idea they could pick up the different hormone in the same way. Holding out until the morning before I test proper to give it as long as possible. Although going slightly crazy as never late x

Apparently the pregnancy hormone mimics Lh which is why this happens. Best of luck X

I got a dark positive opk at 10dpo, it was what made me test at 11dpo I got a strong line on a frer. When I researched it apparently when you catch pregnant the corpus leuteum pumps out loads of LH, so it's not all hcg it picks up. x

I got same as previous posters - dark line on OPK when AF was due, from what i understand if you're pregnant you will also be getting a line on a pregnancy test.
