Hi
So we have had a couple of girls names picked out for a while now - we like Poppy and Isla.
We have been really struggling for boys names, and it seemed like every name I suggested, hubby didn't like. The other week I suggested Finlay, which I really like, but hubby said that he didn't want a name that would get shortened.
Today he has suggested that we just call the baby Finn if it's a boy, so that then the name can't be shortened. I see his point, because I don't like it when people don't call their children by their actual names, but I figure that if we like both Finn and Finlay, then it doesn't really matter.
Anyway, my question is, does Finn sound like an odd name to christen a baby? Is it a bit grown up? We have also toyed with the idea of Will, rather than William, for the same reason, but again, I'm worried it sounds a bit grown up for a baby!
I'm kind of hoping for a girl now, at least there would be no stressing about names!!x
