ok.. for about a month eddies been having a bottle a day, hwes been having it to give me a break (shower, tea etc) this last 9 days ive fed him this bottle every day bar 2.. so it isnt giving me a break really, but ive wanted him to have the formula coz its in his routeen sorta thing.

i know i can stop it, my question is.. do i wean him off it or just stop it and give him a long bf in the evening?

he has only been having 1 feed a night for 2 nights.. and i know its tempting fate but i didnt give him a bottle last night.. not because i didnt want to but we were out so i fed him myself. he woke 3 times last night.

so im kinda stuck on what i weanna do lol.. its great to have him take a bottle ciz if i need to go anywhere then hes sorted, but i would love to try and exclusivly breastfeed him for this last few months till hes weaned.. what do i dooooooo? lol

also.. he isnt gaining much weight.. so im kinda stuck on what to do..

Formula does stay in their tummy longer than breaskmilk because its harder for them to digest so it is more likely that they will wake in the night if they have been used to a formula feed.
It depends on what you want to be honest hun, if you do want to drop the FF and EBF then it will just be a matter of little one getting used to it again. The sleepless night thing doesnt always happen, Thea was EBF from birth and slept from 11.30 - 7am from being about 6 weeks old.

If you want to keep up with the bottle but avoid the formula you could use expressed milk.

What Melanie said really!

I do the same but in the middle of the night as he settles better after a bottle than breast, he seems less fraxious.

I use EBM for this feed so he's stillgetting the goodness but its more convenient, and at the weekend daddy can feed him! :rotfl:

k thanks girls.. im not gonna give a bottle now.. will keep u updated
