Woohoo im in T3!!!
Can I ask where everyones placenta lies &how this affects movement? OH still cant feel babygirl kicking & my placenta is apparantly anterior high.
Does this make a difference?x

Yeah I feel her but not very hard, everyones always moaning about getting kicked hard & saying they can see their bellys move that I know at this stage. It feels harder if I lie on my side.x

Plus shes measuring the size of 28 weeks so I thought Id feel harder kicks by now?x

Hmmm, not sure hun. Don't think they'd be able to tell without a scan either. I know mines behind the baby so I'm not much use but maybe if you don't feel her very much or very hard then the placenta might be blocking??

It's worth asking your midwife next time you see her anyway xxx

It says on my scan notes that my placenta is anterior which I think means in front?x

Anterior is normal i think... maybe she is lying into your back, as then you wouldn't feel the kicks very hard? x

I have an anterior placenta and the kicks I feel aren't very hard. My OH only felt the baby kicking for the first time this week.
With an anterior placenta, the placenta is at the front so a lot of the time the baby is kicking the placenta rather than you. Many of the kicks I feel are at the sides rather than the front.
I see my tummy moving from time to time but not as often as other women I assume.
Coupled with the fact I also have excess fluid means I probably will never feel those hard kicks other people do, but I do feel my baby moving around everyday.

mine is at the front and up a little high- I hardly felt my boy to start then after 20 weeks i started feeling little bits and bobs. Last 2 weeks both OH nad son can feel him move a lot harder and i can see his movements when watching my belly- It will all come in time hun just later than some of the others :) x

Woohoo! thanks girlies, it does say anterior high reading my notes properly so maybe thats why? I do feel her in my sides & (oddly!) kicking my bum it feels like! :oooo:
Just had another go with the doppler & couldnt find her even though shes still kicking me in the bum lol x

anteria placenta is at the front so if its high you probs wont feel many kicks at the top of your bump as thats where you placenta is lying if it was posteria at the back then youd feel stronger kicks once baby grows a bit more you probs will feel them get stronger i had an anteria placenta with amy but it was middle lying so i could just feel her kicks and see my belly move with this one scan says i have posteria placenta and shes not really give my kiks just an feel her moving and turning i think her back was at my belly and her legs are at my back lol so i get like elbow digs till she turns on her side lol movement i think all depends on where ur placenta is lying

I also have an anterior placenta and I've really not felt that much movement throughout the pregnancy. I *do* feel her, but not like other people describe.

I get the kicking in bum sometimes lol strange feeling. I wouldn't worry you will feel big kicks soon! Mine aren't all that strong to be honest xxx

Mine is anterior too and hubby couldn't feel kicks till around 28 weeks - but by about 30 weeks my belly was jumping all over the place there's no missing it, lol xx

Mines anterior and right at the front of my bump, my little man moves alot but other people can't feel him from the outside. Also where he's lying the MW can only pick up his heartbeat faintly because he's right behind the placenta so the doppler has to get through the placenta first! I'm just happy to hear it even if it's quiet lol

x
