Hi everyone :)

I'm a bit concerned as my right boob seems to have much less milk in it than my left and also seems to flow a lot slower. I expressed for 10 mins from left one and got 80ml and the same from the right and only got 40ml. Also my left boob always seems fuller and bigger.

I try to alternate breasts every feed, so not sure why this is happening? Does anyone else have this?

Also, I wondered if I expressed more from the right boob, would that encourage milk production/flow there?

Thanks for your thoughts :)xxx

My right boob has always been fuller/ faster flowing from pretty much day 1 and 7 months down the road it's still the same.
I wouldn't worry about it too much x

Yes, I think a lot of ladies have this so try not to stress hun xx

I have this too - I get a lot more from right boob than left. I'm assured by the hospital, my midwife and HV that its completely normal

Expressing is not a true indication of supply hun, babies are far better at drawing milk out.

My right side is C's favoured side, the flow is faster as is the let down. As a result there is probably slightly less in the left but more than enough xx

I am also lopsided - my left boob may as well not be there, it's so rubbish compared to my right boob. It's very common for one side to be favoured. I've been feeding LO for over 5 months and no amount of trying has evened it out. Don't worry about it xx

Thanks ladies :) glad to know this is normal at least. Saw mw today and she said try and express a bit from the boob that gives less and this might increase it. Will try not to worry anyway! xxx
