Well baby is breech so been booked in for a c section on Thursday. I am in shock!!! I am so excited yet so scared at the same time. I have found out everything so feel more at ease just can't believe it. I feel sad to lose my bump too lol. Sorry just needed to get it out xxxx

I had planned section with my dd 4 years ago as she was breech. Due this lo in 8 weeks and he is currently breech also! X

I've got a scan in 2 weeks as the mw thinks my baby is breech too, I didn't think to ask her what will happen as I was just excited thinking about getting to see her again!

I've been reading up online and some sites say they offer to turn them manually but I don't like the risks involved and would prefer to opt for a csection but wondered how many weeks you need to be?
My MW said they scan in week 37 but I assume they wont book you in that early, was it your first scan or do they check at 37 weeks then the following week?

No it's fine I was exactly the same. I went for my 36week mw appt and she said baby was breech so that same week I was sent for a scam just to check. As mine was footling breech and a little on the small side they said turning him would not be an option as would cause more damage. Too be honest I was going to refuse him to be turned anyway as its not always effective and they can turn straight back.

I am 37 +2 and going for another monitoring today to check baby still growing then if everything ok c section Thursday otherwise it could be tomorrow.

If everything is ok with your baby and is just breech they will probably do your c section at 39weeks that's what they said to me originally. Hope this helps! Xx

Thanks for the reply Loz, I hope everything went ok with your check up today, did they only realise he was small from the scan or was your abdomen measuring small too?
Mine always measures ok but everyone I see says the bump looks small.
It's such a worrying time isn't it?!

I don't like the stats for turning them, the nhs says it's only 50% successful then some turn back and 1:200 end up with an emergency CS because of trauma to the baby or placenta and I'd never forgive myself if I agreed to something that ended up putting her through that.

Good luck for tomorrow or Thursday, it must be lovely knowing that you'll be cuddling your son in just a few days
