OMG I am pregnant

Thank you so much again. I went to my gp about the cramps and she said I should go to the early pregnancy unit at my locally hospital which now worried me more. I mean the cramps are quiet deep and painful at times. I am thinking to call in sick tomorrow and see someone at the hospital

At least if you'll do that you won't be spending weeks worrying about it :)

It's good they're referring to you, I had cramps at about 5-6 weeks and they told me they don't do anything until the 12w scan unless you're bleeding.

So happy for you, I've been following your other posts xxx

Ahhhhhhh congrats!!!! This is fab news xxx

I had cramps so bad they were waking me up at night in the beginning. They tell you pain isn’t normal but if you have pain it’s to be expected.
It was all ok.

Hi mrs_w thank you so much. I mean cramps are very bad stillmuch worse than period ache which is normally very dull. These are very deep on and off pains. Actually I read the rules on early pregnancy unit and you have to be 5 weeks pregnant so even if I go there they won’t do anything

Congrats :) I had EXTREME constant cramps from about 6dpo - a few days after I missed AF. Its why I tested! They were way worse than any period pain I've ever felt. I've always found period cramps come and go, these were just constant pain all day and night. They calmed down a bit but were still pretty bad up until 5.5 weeks. From then I had some pretty decent cramps that would come randomly, but gradually I had less and less of them each day. I've only had the cramping stop yesterday, I'm 8 weeks now. Saw baby a week ago and all is well.

Some people just feel the stretching of the uterus more than others. If you've already had a baby its more common to have bad cramps at the start as your body knows what to do and gets to it quickly! If you're not bleeding and the pain isn't only on one side, its normal.

Congratulations! I've been following your posts and hoping each month was your time! Wouldn't worry about the cramps- it's a good thing as shows baby is burrowing in even deeper and your uterus is stretching to get ready! I had bad cramps with both for about 5 days after positive test xx

Your uterus has to expand and it is quite painful. Any query and you are immediately referred to the EPU...it's standard. Don't panic. Do call them though...EPUs have a helpline for pain issues. Look it up on yr local hospital website. They will probably just reassure you it's normal. xx

Thank you all again for reassuring me about the pain. It’s still going on still painful but maybe not as much. It’s like it’s there all the time like burning. I never had this with my daughter and I actually never felt pregnant with her. So it’s all new to me. I decided not to go to epu as it says there isn’t much to be done before 5 week anyway. So I am going to try to relax and wait. I was up all night with insomnia and getting up to wee as well from the uti I have and on antibiotics for it. I am
nervous and can’t wait for the first scan to relax.

I assume the antibiotics are pregnancy friendly ones? If it gets worse you can call the EPU for advice. Did you tell the doctor about the burning?

Hi sunflower yes for pregnancy ones which is giving me upset stomach and I actually look 5 months pregnant now. Yes I did tell her today again. She said if the cramps are not severe than it should be all ok.

The cramping is implantation I had the same thing with my daughter gl and happy 9 months

I had no idea about this before I thought implantation happens before bfp? So we get pregnancy hormones even though implantation is not completed?

Yes. Implantation pains, then stretching pains....

Hiya just an update pains are much less now. They actually settling now. I did another frer test the line was very similar to 2 days ago. Isn’t it supposed to be getting darker every day? I am terrified of something going wrong:(

Don't stress about lines, too many things can affect them!! If your urine is less concentrated or the test has less dye, your line will be lighter. As long as its not becoming really faint, you're fine x

Huge congratulations, hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months x

I wouldn't keep testing - you'll drive yourself nuts.
