I HAVE A MOUSE/MICE.

PLEASE HELP, I FOUND A MOUSE DROPPING IN MY CUPBOARD UNDER THE SINK. I ONLY CHECKED AS MY NEIGHBOUR TOLD ME HE FOUND 2 IN HIS HOUSE YESTERDAY.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

You need to call your councils pest control department tomorrow hun. Make sure there is no food left out or in plastic wrappers they can knaw through. My OHs parents house has mice. They have humant traps but they never really bothered them... but then they didnt have a baby in the house.

Put food in tins.

OH says you can get a humane trap, put chocolate in to lure the mouse and then release it far away from your home so it doesn't find its way back.

I'd set the cat on it personally.

The advice to phone the council sounds good. If you don't have a cat or fancy relocating rodents I'm not sure how you'd get rid of it from your kitchen - you wouldn't want poison in your kitchen! Do the traps they use in cartoons work? I don't think I'd want to look at it though.

Ask your neighbour how they got rid of the mice.

Don't panic. They are not so bad :) I find the odd one from time to time. Had one in the bath before, then discovered one in the dog feed bin having a feast  I just catch them and put them outside.

You can call your council or buy some traps yourself.

If you use humane ones you must release the mouse well away from the house however. Not just outside the door, but a good distance away or else they just come back.

If you want to use traps that will kill, there are a few to choose from. As bait use a chocolate raisin. Check traps daily and remove dead mouse and reset.

Poison is a bit iffy in the house. I'd be wary. Traps are best, just depends on what you can tolerate.

I HAVE BOUGHT MY HOUSE SO I DON'T KNOW HOW THE COUNCIL COULD HELP ME.

MY NEIGHBOUR CAUGHT AND KILLED THE 2 MICE IN HIS HOUSE.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THOSE PLUG IN THE WALL THINGS WORK? I AM THINKING OF GETTING ONE OF THEM AS WELL AS A COUPLE OF TRAPS FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING.

we have mice and signs of rats in shed  joys of the country side. i let them be. they keep making beds in my boxes of cleaning clothes :rotfl:

We have a plug in the wall thingy, it works well enough, but where we are ther is no avoiding the things, thankfully they stick to their area and we stick to ours. Mutual avoidance :)

Or buy a cat

better a mouse than a cockroach in my opinion... :puke: Get a cat... We have them for cockroach issues, only once the cats bite their heads off they still walk around... :puke: :puke:

Hiya

We used to get loads of mice and bought the sonar pulse plug in things from B&Q and havent had any since!

We had mice at work and the council came out and put poison and traps down. They charged a fee (about £50.00) not sure if they charge for domestic.

Give your local pest control a call and ask if they can help

you can buy mouse poision from wilkinsons btw.. and traps..

WENT TO B & Q AND BOUGHT A COUPLE OF TRAPS AND ONE OF THOSE PLUG IN THE WALL THINGS.

WE PUT TALC ON THE FLOOR LAST NIGHT TO SEE IF WE COULD FIND ANY FOOT PRINTS BUT THERE WAS NOT VISITORS LAST NIGHT.

I'LL KEEP YOU ALL UPDATED. XXX

I tink the humane ones are nicer and cleaner - the nasty ones are gross too clean up and uim not keen on poison in the home.

I recommnd the sonar plugs that jo mentioned!

Cat worked for me. Trouble is, I've still got the bugger sixteen years later :x :rotfl:

I can't get a cat as most of my family are alergic to both cats and dogs. I don't want to put a stop to the babysitting before it begins. xxxx
