We are hoping to ttc again following a mmc. I had the mva procedure 10 days ago and have been checking opks for last 3 days. Had negative hpt test on fri hence checking for LH surge. Just wanted opinions on whether this opk is an almost positive and whether i we should dtd today or wait till tom incase line stronger. Want to avoid dtd everday if possible as it becomes a chore after the 4th night opinions would be appreciated x

It's hard to know as everyone is different. It will probably get darker. Every other day in general should be fine anyway so you could dtd today...

Thanks ladies...just didnt want to miss the surge. Might do one around 6pm and compare...if no change will do one tom and prob dtd as sperm hangs around for a while!

I'd go for it, looks like you are almost there anyway and like you said, it would be good if you had some sperm in waiting.

Thanks kat. Not getting any other signs of ovulation at the moment but not sure if cycle is likely to be different having had a mc. Just keen to ttc again but in conflict about waiting till definately ovulating and not wanting to miss the surge to not wanting the "best sperm" to be used up before i actually ovulate...arghh! Why is this so hard!! X

Why would the 'best sperm' get used up? If u dtd every other day then the sperm should replenish. I have this exact dilemma every month and am always convinced we mistimed it.

True...im being silly! Dperm.should replenish itself.....just need it to be okay! It turns out that hpt i took earlier is still showing faint positive still so my positive opk must have still been hcg being picked up....gutted as opks were really faint yesterday so convinved i was ovulating! Spotting still too tonight so hoping ovulation will hsppen ltr in the week! Thanks for looking at pics though x

Last cycle I ovulated same day I got my surge so i reckon your best to get on it the days leading up and just keep going. Good luck

Thanks alexis. Unable to dtd unil spotting stops in case of infection. Im sure im almost there so fingers crossed can dtd tom or weds and still catch. Just need a negative hpt 1st so i know my hcg is back to 0! Strange wishing for a negative hpt!

Been following you on the ttc thread. I hope it happens before xmas too for you but atleast you have your appt coming up at end of month to try and get sone answers x
