Hi

Just wondered if anyone here had suffered OHSS symptoms before or could give any advice?

I don't know if it's OHSS but some of the symptoms don't sound too far off for mild-moderate. I've felt "super-bloated" before but it was only like this after egg collection.

My stomach/middle has ballooned by about 3 inches over its normal size after eating today, and it's not jelly-like, it's completely firm underneath that.

I've been in discomfort all day and last night was suffering from really quite bad abdominal/stomach pains.

The other day I was sick but that may have been food poisoning.

I'm feeling a bit nauseous now, and my resting heart rate is over 90 (took it several times today).

My OH suggests taking some paracetemol but I don't want to put anything inside that will aggravate my sore-feeling stomach any more.

(On top of this, somehow I have to get through several hours of the final round of a dream job interview tomorrow, and I can't even sit comfortably right now! The tights I would have planned on wearing were really hurting my middle earlier today at work!)

Any advice appreciated!

Hi hun, I had very mild ohss after my iui cycle, and if it is late onset, so 10dpo onwards it generally means a bfp. It's how I knew I was pregnant. So I think your tests are telling the truth hun. Drink loads of water, and take paracetamol was the advice I was given. And take it easy haha!!
Good luck with the interview...can you roll the tights down so the band is below your swollen area??

Thanks blondy, I found your message really helpful/encouraging :)

I went with the pulled down tights option too - tried bare legs in the morning but I looked kinda ridiculous.

Also opted to eat not v much & be hungry rather than eat normally & have extreme pain, fun trade-off eh! :)

I will be calling the ACU tomorrow as their instructions seems to advise doing so.

Thanks again for your help & advice xx
