I will definitely take a look, I don't know a great deal about SA results apart from what I researched with my OH's but I will try my best and may be worth starting a new thread with the results for some other ladies to come and take a look as I had some really helpful info from some ladies when I posted my OHs results xx

i know what the hyperviscid isnt brilliant or normal but ive looked that up
im worried about his normal forms xxx

4% normal forms is in the 'normal' zone - anything above 3% morphology is considered normal/ok

However, you may be interested to know that my OH got his morphology to go from 0% to 8% in a year or two, vitamin tablets and exercise seemed to make the difference! xx

My DH also has a high count but low morphology. Its really common. If you work it out, he still has millions of good ones! We had IUI and IVF and there were plenty of good ones to use!
Hope that puts your mind at rest.
What issues do you have?

Hi blue flower they havent given me any problems yet
scans confirmed nothing last year so ive got one more blood test before a referral

Forgot to say, my DH takes Wellman now and it really improved his sample. It contains zinc and selenium and stuff that makes up healthy sperm structure.
Maybe you are 'unexplained'? So many people seem to be. Its frustrating.

I still think my depo theory stands unfortunately I think im lacking in something from prolonged use
or im not ovulating as I should be

I worried I was on the pill for too long so wasn't ovulating. Its weird how contraception is so important when you are young but no one warns you about conceiving in the future. On the pill instructions it just says stop taking it if you want a baby! Yeah right, just like that!

after a year your fertility returns...ive never met a women whose come off it and got pregnant says alot

Hi hon 4% morphology is on the low side mh hubby's ranged from 2-4% and we were told by private clinic that was
likely the reason it took us so long to conceive. If you've been trying more than 12 months if push for a fertility referral as gps are not specialists and you are entitled to more detailed investigations after this time. Best of luck x

Honeybear I was on the depo for a while to help with my endeo and ovarian cysts ( amongst a lot of other things). I had to come off it and go onto prostap injections (horrid!)but just wanted to say I have managed somehow to concieve though its shocked my consultant I just wanted to let you know it can happen so you can go from knowing of none to knowing of one which is more positive best of luck to you and your OH XX

Im something like cd 17 and no slashing smileys on my clear blue ovulation kit...
dont know whats going on this cycle xx

My oh had a very high count too with the low morphology so the gp initially said it shouldn't be a problem. However we were then told by a fertility specialist that this is not the case as the 'dodgy' sperm will actually impede the good swimmers to some extent making it hard for them to reach the egg. Not to say they wouldn't of course, just that it would be more difficult. We've obviously got our bfp in the end so sure you'll get there too hon xx

The moral of the story here is GPs are rubbish at interpreting SA results. My acupuncturist knows more about it than my GP xx

Oh yes I heard that too, its like trying to run a marathon apparently when most of the others are going in different directions and getting in the way, I forgot that. I suppose that's why we need treatment cos they filter off the good ones.

Hi honeybear sorry to hear your having problems ttc. I am 18months ttc and just had my day 3 blood test. I noticed on your OH SA results that he was abstinent for 7 days my hubby was told he had to abstain for no longer than 5 days. He test he done in Jan was 5 days and low count so he is having another one this week at 3 days.
the heads could be smaller on the older sperm?
I really hope it happens for you soon x
