In a couple of hours I am having a possible sweep at my GPs. The MW wrote on my green notes would it be possible for him to give me one. Maybe he'll just leave it though until next Tue when I go in, or do you think that's just me wishful thinking!

Should it not be up to you? If you don't want one today, tell him! I hope you're feeling ok!

Yep, I have GD. Also he isn't my usual GP, this one has an occasional evil glint in his eye!!!

I'm supposed to be having one next monday if baby isn't here, but haven't decided whether I'm gonna have it or not. I had one when I went overdue last time but it didn't do anything just made me sore, but saying that by next week I might be desperate for anything

Not sure a sweep would do much at your stage ...it helps if you are a bit favourable ...mabey if you had 5 a day lol but thats alot of poking about ..recon your in for the dynamite

 that would be just typical for me, a bang got me into this and no doubt an even bigger bang will have to get me back out! :talkhand: :D

Good luck fifi

Good luck, especially with the doc with the evil glint :D

Good luck to you too, but if you don't want one you don't have to have one

Good luck Kaz, just close your eyes and think of the Barrowman :rotfl:

I wouldn't have another sweep unless a lady did it and she was gentle.

Good luck Kaz. Which hospital you having baby at if you don't mind me asking? I think we probably live pretty close to eachother, thats why I ask. I had Isaac at Epsom :)

Think I'll quickly purchase a latex Barrowman mask, I'm sure doc won't mind slipping it on for a few mins, docs can pretty obliging nowadays

lou, I am having him at St Heliers, I did have a choice of there or Epsom, St Helier is nearer for me though. I live near Wallington, work in Sutton

Thanks everyone...off now xx

Kaz I live in Sutton! I'm nearer to St Helier, can see it from my house, but thought Epsom hospital was better.

Good luck anyway

You may aswell have one..I had a sweep at 37+6 and wes 1-2 cms dialated with bulging waters and went into labour the next day. But I guess it works differently for everyone. Good luck!

I hope the sweep works if you have one

If you don't fancy it keep your legs crossed and tell them to get lost
