October 2014 due dates

Hi, I used to come on here a lot when tcc my dd and throughout my pg. I've been so busy with work and dd that haven't had chance to post. I've just got my bfp and expected due date of 4 oct (which is also my birthday lol). Am apprehensive as had my thyroid removed in November and didn't think id be able to conceive. Sorry to ramble and hi everyone x

So who have you told that you're pregnant. This is a bit of a bugbear for me. Told my best friend straight away but oh really adamant that we can't tell anyone else until 12 weeks! Just about convinced him now that I may leave him if he won't let me tell my mum soon! I gey his reluctance after our chemical 2 years ago he's just very cautious. It's not like I want to put it on Facebook - just to let our parents know. Hoping he changes his mind after 6 week scan next Tues.

Crazycatlady I have only told 3 of my closest friends (because we were going on a night out and I couldn't hide it) and I will have to tell my cousin in a few weeks because I am her bridesmaid and it is our dress fitting :/ but apart from that we won't be telling anyone (not even the parents) until I have my first scan around 12 weeks, I think it's killing hubby that he can't tell his mum but I'm the one saying no lol! She's not great with secrets! Family dinner tomorrow night for hubby's birthday and I know questions will be asked when I say I am driving! Currently lying on the sofa with my hot water bottle and a nice glass of non alcoholic wine lol exciting times!! x

I'm finally officially here! So I'm Pippa, 28, and I have a daughter who will be 8 in a few days -sob. Dh and I have been married nearly two years. We live in France so it'll be interesting to see the different practices between countries. We have the Netherlands as well don't we?

We have told dh's parents (mine have passed away) and I've told my best friend in the States, so I know she can't let it slip haha. Planning on telling my daughter for her birthday: we'll probably get her a card and a tshirt/teddy to say she'll be getting an extra pressie in October...

I seem to do nothing but pee and drink. How are you all doing? x

So far we have told both sets of parents (I really wanted to tell mine and thought we should tell DH's as they live really close together and didn't want an accidental slip!) and a couple of close friends!

I poas this morning it was a digi one I had left and I am now "pregnant 3+"

Pips - how do your first 12 weeks plan out in France? Here depending on location and services there will be a provisional midwife meeting and then a booking appointment or just a booking appointment and bloods (which should take place by about 10 weeks) then we have a dating scan at 12 weeks - this scan can include screening for Down's Syndrome.

Welcome to all the new girls I POAS yesterday and got a 2 - 3 weeks so happy with that as was 17dpo we have decided we are going to book a private scan at some point around 8 weeks as had one last time and I relaxed so much after that xx

I was just going to write about private scanning - I have booked an early pregnancy scan for the 22nd for reassurance and to ease my impatience!! I will be 8+3 by LMP.

Welcome all newly pregnant ladies. Yay for 3+ kathy - I am hoping to see that on Monday.

I have a scan on Tuesday - which will be around 6 weeks. I didn't choose when to have it as I have conceived on clomid so the fertility clinic have arranged it. I am worried it will be so early that we won't see anything. Hoping for reassurance that all is developing well.

Hi girls, my name is Tasha im 36 and have 2 children.My due date is 6th October .Only my partner and I know and i wont be telling anyone else for a while.I wish i could tell my mum but after my last 2 pregnancies ended like they did my mum made her feelings very clear that she didn't want us to try again.I understand how she feels as she was the one by my beside both times and saw what i went through and it put her through alot of stress also.I shouldn't be scared of my mum but if it goes wrong again my partner has had strict instructions not to tell her until i am out of theatre and safe.Its hard, just want my mum!
Still have no symptoms, and wishing for morning sickness as i feel that's a good sign! ( i know i may kick myself for wishing that )

Lovely to meet you all!

Has a huge wave of nausea this afternoon, it lasted for a good couple of hours! Not nice - hope it is not a sign of things to come!

How is everyone else getting on?

No real nausea just a bit when i eat in evening and am absolutely exhausted. Also really clumsy, more so than usual, scalded arm over boiling rice today. Ouch.

I'm not really sure how everything happens here as for my last pregnancy I was in Scotland. What I know is I have to book an appointment with my gynaecologist asap as he will be following the pregnancy. We have 3 obligatory scans here, 1 per tri. The first one is betwen 9 and 12 weeks. I've also just found out I'm not immunised against toxoplasmosis so I will have to have blood tests EVERY MONTH!!!! I never had that in Scotland. Has anyone heard of something like that before? Oh, and I have to have folic acid every day for a month.

I'm getting quite clumsy as well hello pregnancy brain!

Hi all,
I got my first BFP on Thurs night, tested twice more Thurs/Fri and then did a digital on Saturday which said pregnant 3+. According to the online calculators I think my due date is 10th Oct.
I'm 32 and this is my first pregnancy. Been married just over 7 months and came off the pill about 5 months ago so we're both over the moon. Really scared though about although the possibilities of what could happen as it's so early still-fingers crossed for all of us! Hoping to make a Drs app for the end of the week when I'll be about 5 weeks.
We weren't planning to tell anyone until after the first scan but I've got my future sister in laws hen do at around the 9 week mark so may have to tell family a bit early as I think they'll guess anyway!
