Hi ladies my baby is 8 months and has been in my room as it's the only bedroom. We have been completed sleeping and putting her in her cot. We have just moved to a 2 bedroom so she will go in on her own now. My question is whether I should get a nursing chair or arm chair? She still feeds alot and feeding is the only way she will go to sleep. Im thinking a chair in her room would be good incase she wakes up i can just sit there and feed her or hubby can rock her to sleep or if she is unwell on of us could sleep in there. What do you guys think is there any point in the nursing chair or just get a arm chair? We would like another baby in the future so I could keep what ever I buy. Im worried if I buy a nursing chair I won't be nursing for much longer and then would it become useless..
Help please looking to get something asap.
Thanks x

My lo is 19 months and I anticipate using our nursing chair with him for a good while yet. He hasn't fed during the night since he was 8 months old but we sometimes still have night get ups and we use it as part of his bedtime routine when he has his milk. I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my second so will get another couple of years out of it x

We have an IKEA Poang in the kids' room. Not a nursing chair, but it has a natural bounce which means you can rock gently if you want and you can get a matching footstool if you want to recline more. We sit on it for stories with our toddler too

We got a nursing chair yesterday, in preparation for our little ones arrival. It's a gliding one with footstool. It's sooooo comfy! We didn't have one when we had my son and both hubby and I were getting back ache from rocking him to sleep. Can't wait to snuggle up in this chair with bubs!

I bf my lo until a year and even though our cottage is all one level with the nursery right off the living room I wish I'd bought a nursing chair. It just would have been easier for night feeds and transfers and probably better back support then my couch

Ok thanks ladies I'm going g to het one 2nd hand I think. Friends and family keep saying they are ugly and look like they are for old people x

We got ours second hand for £40 off the Facebook market page. It's so comfy! I'm sat in it right now!

Iv brought one 2nd hand cost 65.00 but it's in perfect condition and its 4yrs old but not a mark on it. Get it Sunday and hopefully I'll love it and we will get use out of it. I was just worried that id left it too late to get one x

My hubby is so in love with ours he's planning on sitting in it and rocking on the porch when he's an old man!! Lol!!

Definitely a good idea!
I have a rocker that was my grandmother's, who died a couple of years ago, so nice to keep it in the family :)
I do Rowan's night feeds in it and it's just nice to get that rocking motion with little effort! Keeps me relaxed and in a sleepy mode too when disturbed from slumber heheh

I'm hoping to keep this for when I'm brave enough to have another baby and use it for story time ect. Im so excited to get it. I'm also really excited as summer will have her own room and I can finally make a nursery. X
