Nursery is finally done! *relax* PIC HEAVY :)

Looks fab! I love the Pom Pom things above to cot! I notice you have a day bed in there, what are your thoughts behind that, for when baby is having a restless night? My husband wants us to keep ours in baby's room but I'm not sure if we'd use it. Yours looks better than ours as it's much lower x

Yeah, we thought the daybed would be good for when baby is having a bad night. My hubby works long days and it's not fair to keep him up at night so when baby goes into his nursery if need be I could sleep in the nursery with the LO when needed.

It also has a trundle underneath that pulls out and lifts up to make it into a large double which would be handy if we ever need a guest bed. My sis and bro in law live away with their two LO's. I've said if they ever want to stay their two LO's could share the day bed and they can use the sofa bed we have downstairs.

Hopefully we'll not need to use it much but I'm glad we've got it just in case! x

This is a great idea. My LO is ten months and, having slept brilliantly until seven months old, the last three months have been a bit hit and miss, and, especially during the really hard nights (5/6 times waking!) I have had to give in and go against all my 'Mummy' rules and take him into the spare room to sleep with me, so OH can sleep properly (as he obvs has to get up and then do a full day at work) and I can actually get some rest too as LO will then sleep when cuddled. We recently moved a sofa bed into his nursery for this reason and removed the nursing chair I was using. Nursery looks gorgeous btw! Xxxxxx

Yeah, I can imagine it will definitely come in handy for bad nights.

Might actually need to use it beforehand, I'm sure Hubby gets irritated with me fidgeting at night at the moment, I can never get comfy lol x

Ah yes I saw that one too, lovely but yeah comes at a price!! Only thing stopping me rug wise is deciding if I should run with that as multi colour theme and perhaps even a button theme haha but I like some of the woodland animal type wall stickers

Elliott, there is so much choice out there, it's so difficult isn't it. I spent ages looking at different things but quite pleased that it all seems to have come together quite well. x

I know! I just need to go with it and hope it works out hehe. OH is back late tomorrow (been away 10 days) and whilst he's been away the furniture has been delivered so hoping to put that together this week as we are both off. Then I think we will be on a roll. I browsed ikea today and earmarked thst tug, some cute pictures and a chair I really liked, so they might be next purchases :)

Ooh, it's exciting when it all starts coming together. Enjoy! :)

It's insane how much more 'real' it feels now, just by seeing a nursery in our house! lol x

Ooh lovely nursery. Where did you get the book shelves from please, been looking everywhere xx

Oh wow, that looks gorgeous! The chair looks very comfy and its so airy and spacious. Well done!!

xx

It's beautiful! I'm 28 weeks with spd! I've been Like a woman possessed nesting. Have painters coming next week to paint nursery and then I can relax! :-)

Ah thanks Karenm25, the worse bit for me with having spd is wanting to get things done and struggling! It is nice knowing that nearly everything is sorted now and I can relax and rest without feeling too bad :-)
