I'm getting a blood test after 14 weeks as they couldn't do mine at scan xx

Hi all! Scan went well, measuring at 13+1 and EDD 9 November. Was so exciting to see baby actually on the screen, moving and waving about, could have just watched it all day unfortunately baby wouldn't cooperate for the nurse to get a scan pic for the Downs test so I've to arrange a blood test next week. So exciting to finally be able to share the news now!

I though the downs test had to be done before 14 weeks? So by not giving you a scan before then they are taking away your choice to have the test done.

They said if they can't fit me in before 14 weeks I can get a blood test in the second trimester to test for DS.

Glad the scan went well Merida!

The blood test give a more accurate answer when combined with the scan results. Hope you manage to get a scan soon.

hi guys, I've been gone for a while! Just busy with work and trying not to think about tri 1 so much!
Had my scan yday and measured 13+1 EDD of 9th november!

Had our scan. All well baby was super chilled, hands behind his/her head sleeping.

Scan went well today! This scan was soooo different to my last 12 week scan all those years ago. All the panic and all is perfect! Although little one wouldn't cooperate so had to do laps of the hospital to try and get it to move after trying various things in the scan room! But on second scan attempt we got measurements! Due date changed by a day to the 16th.i couldn't upload a pic, but will try later.

Congrats to all other ladies who have had their scans! Xx
