Hi everyone. So im 9w6d and at around 6w I had a scan where the doc saw that the placenta has started to detach from the uterine wall. He started me on progesterone and told me to rest but didnt really explain. A week later baby was fine but the separation was bigger so he upped the progesterone and recommended bed rest. Ive had two minor bleeds since but I just realized, is this a placental abruption? Im scared and I have no idea whats happening :(

I have no idea, but didn't want to read and see that no1 had responded. Did they not give you any more information about what was happening to you and baby? Sending positive vibes and hugs to you hun xxx

Thank you for answering. I guess Ill know more on Tuesday, I'm getting scanned.

Thanks again!

Fingers crossed for you hun. Look.after yourself between now and then. Let us know how you get on x

I had a scan yesterday and everything was great! Apparently everything is back on track and we get to see bubs kicking and moving around. The doctor was nearly certain its a girl too!

That's great news hun. I just went to wish you luck and saw everything is okay. I'm sure that was quite scary, but I'm glad baby is good. Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy xx

How would they know the sex at 10 weeks? i have never heard of that being possible

He said its most likely a girl because he was able to see the labia very clearly. He did say there is a chance he is wrong but from the scan he was nearly certain.

Beyond that it still is possible to know the sex at 10-11 weeks with a CVS (this happened to me with my now eight-year-old daughter).

I think gbliz just meant being possible from such an early ultrasound. I'd drive myself nuts wondering if he was right lol fx xx

I was dubious at first too and then he showed me and it was clear as day! Insane, really! Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as annoyed.
