Not eating

For the last 6 days Tegan has Not eaten properly, only half her breakfast, hardly any lunch and half her tea.
Im getting really worried now and convinced she's losing weight any suggestions? i was gonna ring the HV But she's a cow! x

Is she teething? Charley won't eat his breakfast, I don't think he likes it anymore though :/

Oscar has been like this recently, but I think it's because he's getting fussy like his mum. I've wasted so much food coz he'll have a couple of spoonfuls then refuse so I go through the jars/pouches til he likes something and eats it all lol

I thought maybe teething with him at first, but now I've figured he's just being really fussy and just not wanting what I'm offering! I now either offer something I know he loves or go through a process of elimination! It's great fun lol not!

Zoe Isla does the same when teething. She goes completely off her food and only wants milk. Has her milk intake increased? Xx

No she's only drinking1 bottle of milk at bedtime, i keep offering more But she refuses to drink it. i do think she's Teething But just wish she would eat something! xx

My LO went through a very similar stage and my mum is still convinced she's not eating enough. Again she'll again have 1 bottle a day now.

I'd say speak to the HV like you were going to and just keep offering food. Have you noticed whether there is certain food she'll go for more than others? Fruit seems to be a winner this end. So if I dont think she's eating enough Ill just up her fruit intake.

she will eat fruit better than anything else, she's always been such a good eater think that's why its worried me so much, i've tried to hv But no answer so will try again later xx

When donovan teeth he will drink milk all day long but won't have solids, last day of teething he had all he ate was one of those baby custard pots and that was a mouthful here and there over three hours! It's nervewracking but its just a case of keep offering and hopefully they will take a fancy to something. 2 weeks ago Lo wouldn't eat anything savoury and this went on for about ten days then all of a sudden he started taking savoury again. They do go through a lot of annoying fazes unfortunately xx

I was going to say teething..>Alfie used to go right off his food when teething and also when he was bit under the weather!!

My hv said just keep offering and offering loads of fluids too ... xx

Oh no - has she eaten any better since yesterday?

Isla did this a couple of weeks ago for about a week - just kept refusing everything - including fruit etc. I was hoping it was due to teething but she still hasn't got any teeth so don't know what it was all about!

She picked up again for the next 2 weeks and started eating really well and drinking more milk but has now gone really off her milk again.

Have you contacted your Dietitian?

I've spoken to the Dietician this morning, she asked me to go get her Weighed (she's lost 6 Oz in 12 days) she's told me to continue offering food & milk every couple of hours and If she doesn't pick up by friday phone her back she isn't too concerned Aslong as she drinks plenty! as we speak she's eaten a quarter of cheese sandwhich, 2 grapes and half a farleys bear biscuit But didn't eat any breakfast! xx

Joshua is doing something similar. It's been about 6 days now eating about a quarter of what he normally eats and vomits a fair amount back up. He's walking with a walker so moving a lot and I can properly feel his ribs. I'm worried about his weight . Normally when teething he's ill for a day not this long x

That's such a shame that she's lost weight when she was doing so well putting it on. When I'm worrying about Isla's weight I often think about my weight card (my Mum gave it to me - it looks like some sort of rationing book but is only from 1970-something!) and I lost weight twice apparently!

How has she done for the rest of the day? It can only be a phase and she'll be eating well again soon.
