Aimee is driving me mad again. Apart from the not sleeping at night now she won't eat. She hasn't ate anything propally since Monday. She is opening her mouth but spitting all the food back out. Don't think she's ill as she will eat of my plate and any finger foods or anything sweet just not her food which she usually loves. Shes not getting much down her cos shes still not very good with finger foods or lumps, maybe cos she still only has 2 teeth. Is this normal to go off her food like this? If it is does anyone have any good suggestions for some finger food which she would find easy to eat.

Damien has been off his food for weeks now :wall: Don't ask me how to get them to eat LOL!! Although try thing like making up custard with their milk instead of our milk (Urchin's idea! - gets the calcium into them). Willl she take milk? Concentrate on that and offer her little bits of her food aswell and slowly try and build her back up.
As for lumpy food, Damien eats the second stage stuff iwth lumps in and has no teeth, well, he did!

Urchin has lots of good recipe's of things to try. Another thing you could try is mixing their food with their second stage milk (get cartons if it's easier) and mix that into packet foods or the food you make her.

Sorry i can't help more. xx

Hiya
It is very normal for them to go off food a bit, but you could try buying the baby cereal that you are supposed to mix with water, but mix their milk into it instead.
The custard thing is also a good one.
For finger food Brody finds carrot batons easy, and I make tiny cheese sandwiches for him to which he loves.

She is drinking her milk fine at the minute, better than she has ever done. Shes drank about 20oz of milk today so thats not the problem. Its her meals she won't have. Will she be ok at her age now on just milk for a few days? Its just unusal for her cos she normally wolfs down her meals but doesn't want her milk. Don't want her to loose weight cos she is almost up to the 50th centile now for the first time since she was 1 month old.

Don't worry about it too much, it's quite normal, Brody has had the odd day like this too. Try and mix as much milk as poss with food to get the extra vitamins and calcium in there :)

Hi

i think as long as she is drinking milk at least she will be fine maybe if she is still doing it in a few days look into it more

Dunno if this will help but, i made Jack some scrambled egg and toast yesterday, i made the egg in microwave and it went slightlly rubbery and he picked it up with fingers to eat.
Maybe you could try that, but as long as she is drinking, she will be fine for a few days i am sure

Damien has been concentrating on milk for a couple of weeks now hun, it's fine :)

Well shes still not eating propally, her milk intake has gone down now too. She is on around 10-12oz a day now but she did eat a few spoonfuls of porridge this morning. She is quite sickly too, not a lot just like when they are smaller and their sick when you wind them and she hasn't done that for months. I gonna see how she goes over the weekend and if she doesn't improve take her to the GP on Monday.
