Yeah I think they are Hun! I haven't had any yet ( touch wood ) but my nose is congested!

Yeah they are. I had never had one before I was pregnant and I get them all the time now it's a pain! X

^^^^^ yup! Not only is my nose annoyingly congested but it will suddenly start bleeding with no warning! x

I got nose bleeds during pregnancy, mainly around end of first tri/beg of second tri. They are so annoying, I had my worst one on a spa day my hubby had booked for me. I'd just had a massag and she went onto start my facial and BAM a nose bleed came on and just wouldn't stop!! Missed out on my head massage!! She said she thought it might make it worse!

I was so embarrassed!

Aren't they meant to be because of higher blood pressure? I'm sure I read somewhere it's because your heart has to work more to get enough blood to both you and baby so your BP is higher.

They're quite common (i've been getting them too) but if they get REALLY bad i'd give the MW a call. x

Yep, Im having nose bleeds on and off and im soo stuffed up. Can hardly breathe through my nose, but dont have cold . . . very strange. Ive strated carrying tissues around with me. Rang MW and she also said it was totally safe, so no worries. Its something to do with the blood vessles widening and all the extra blood rushing aroung our bodies xx

I've never had a nosebleed in my life and had 3 since I fell pregnany. Also feel i'm constantly stuffed up

yes i have only eva had one wile pregnant, mine are always when i wake up in the night for a wee i dunno if it coz i've been laying down for a wile.

It's just down to the fact that your body is pumpin more blood due to the pregnancy an it tends to put extra pressure on the blood vessels in your nose. I found my nose was mote sensitive during pregnancy, more prone to hayfever and I always seemed congested.

I'm in 2nd tri and keep on getting nosebleeds. asked my midwife about it and she said nothing to worry about.
