Hi girls

I had a midwife check today (32+6). It wasn't my proper midwife but her student, she was running really late and I have a horrendous cold so I didn't really want to stick around so didn't ask any questions which in now wishing I had.

All the way through I have been measuring spot on weeks wise but when she measured me today she said I was slightly small. Not a big deal and nothing to worry about... She then had a feel for baby and said baby had moved down a lot and that will be why I'm measuring slightly smaller

Is there any meaning to this? I thought that until the last couple of weeks my uterus would keep going upwards with baby not down at this point

Sorry if this makes no sense, I wish if asked at the time but I was so snotty I just wanted to get out

It's normal for your bump not to be so high, so it would make sense for the measurement to do that. The thing is, in my experience, the student midwives got my measurements wrong every time. My midwife was on long term sick so I saw a different person at every appointment, an had a student 3 times. If it concerns you hun go back xx

Thanks. I'm not worried as such it was just once I left I wondered if it was normal as she didn't really go into detail. Like I say I'm not really concerned

Not sure how far along you are but just wanted to say my first baby moved down quite early on so it is a reasonable explanation for the change

Sorry, you said in your message! Sounds ok to me :)
