When did you start wearing them?
I went to M&S about 2 weeks ago to get a strapless bra to wear under a dress for a wedding. While trying it on and complaining about my constant need for new bras at the moment due to pregnancy I was informed that I shouldnt be wearing wired bras at any point (I was 2.5 months pregnant at the time)
I have now bought non wired bras but to be honest, I really dont like them

I have been wearing them since about 8 weeks pregnant, when my boobs started growing.......Im not keen either to be honest, as having large boobs the wire-less ones are not very supportive, but I am perservering, although I do wear wired ones for special occasions :D

I recently asked for advice on here, about which makes were most comfortable to wear and had lots of great feedback.

I wore underwire all the way through my pregnancy.
I only changed to non wire when i started to wear my nursing bras after the birth :D

Same as Charlie84. I wore wired throughout and non wired when i began feeding.

I asked my doctor this question yesterday as i am a size 36J and didnt really like the idea of non underwired bras as they dont give me the support i need.

She said there is no proof that wearing non underwired is damaging as long as you wear the correct size bra and the underwire does not cut into your breast tissue (so as long as your boobies fit nicely inside its fine to carry on with underwired :cheer: )

As long as you wear the correct size it does no damage. I wore mine all the way through pregnancy

I got a maternity/nursing wired bra from Blooming marvelous. I hated the non-wored ones last time. The brand is called Anita and they are made slightly differently to avoid any problems.
Only available in white though!

i wore them at the begining when my boobs were in a lot of pain (i doubled in cup size in the 1st 6 weeks) but I HATE not feeling supported properly, esp no their bigger.....and im back in regular bras but in a larger size for when i leave the house...i have the most comfortable soft underwired bra ever from LaSenza and its fine, doesnt dig anywhere. i just wear my non underwired ones around the house.

My boobers have not grown at all and generally are only ickle so the non wired kept slipping up over boobs everytime I reached for something, I have stuck to wired ones for now and will get properly measured for nursing bras with no wire when LO arrives.....

I think once you are correctly measured the wire wont do you any harm.....

Thanks for all the replies, I tried to wear the non wired ones tonight (was working) but to be honest it has been really hurting, I have just taken it off and I have really dark red lines around my ribs, think Im going back to the wired ones I have until I can go and get measured as to be honest the wired ones sometimes dig in but not as bad as the non wired one has tonight.
