Sorry ladies but im feeling sorry for myself now! I just called the antenatal clinic to tell them that according to MY OWN calculations I am 11 weeks and I still have not heard from them at all to arrange a midwife appointment/scan. The response they gave was that they are still dealing with priority cases and I probably won't be seen for at least two weeks, but not to worry that I will get a call. My goodness there must be a baby boom due to the mediterranean heat!!!

Well its easy for them to say don't worry isn't it? I just want to see bubba after two months of nausea hell.. and wondering if I should pay up for a private scan or just wait and be patient for a bit longer. Which would you do? :(

how much are private scans? i have no idea! If they are reasonable then id go and re assure yourself, mind you, sounds like you are ok if you have been ill!

Thankis for the reply girly girl :) My nausea was pretty much constant 24/7 during weeks 6-8. I think pregnancy is the only time we might assume feeling really ill means things are probably really great!

I'm thinking about having a private scan at the moment, I've just found out its £120 and even though thats the equivalent of a large grocery shopping trip, it will bring peace of mind won't it? I'm going to talk to hubby about it later on!

Thats a bit rubbish, sorry to hear you are down, waiting is rubbish especially if its the first scan!!!

Could you maybe do the private thing? Just to put ur mind at ease?

xx

Hey Pregnopaws... I've got exactly the same problem. I still haven't heard squat from the hospital, yet I'm 12 weeks along, have been bleeding on and off, have a high risk of genetic diseases, have Crohns disease and I am considered a priority...yer right!!!!

I'm going to my midwife tomorrow to complain. It's just not on as I am supposed to see a specialist Gynocologist and still haven't!!!

I believe that my problem is that I don't have a Spanish surname and the Spaniards here can be extremely nepatistic. I know that your situation is slightly different...is there anyway you can complain? Alternatively go book a private appointment over the border with a Spanish private clinic...mine only cost 50€, they will more than likely speak English and it will put your mind at ease...I know mine did today. :)

Pregnopaws & Squiglet where in spain are you? I used to live there and miss it soo much.

I'm right down the south in San Roque (near Gibraltar) and Squig is further north, Costa blanca i believe.. where did you live before Paradysso?

lol gibraltar actually, i used to keep my horse just past san roque by the refinery

LOL small world... that always seems to happen here!
