I have seen that Avent have nipple protectors to help prevent cracking and the other joys, any of new mums tried them?
I have very sensitive nipples so want to be prepared as much as possible.

Me me me, I got some silicone ones from boots, they are amazing!! I couldn't feed without them! No pain, no cracking, nothing, fab! x

OMG, I am so glad to hear they work, I am definitely getting them now!

I cannot recommend them enough! Squeeze a bit of you milk out, rub it around your whole nipple, areola and everywhere, stick the protector on with this and squeeze a bit more into the teat to get baby going, fabulous x

If I had brought these before having my LO I would probably still be feeding her, or at least fed her for longer. Id say go for it. When you have a newborn and the stress of it all as well as cracked nipples. You dont usually have the thought process to buy something like this! :) Id say go for it.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSs they are amazing! I got thrush in the milk ducts and I couldnt let Matilda near me so I got the silicone ones from boots and they were amazing and made it so that I could carry on Bfeeding her.....good luck and hope they help xx

I'm a massive fan too! I have the Medela smallest ones because after the birth I had flat nipples and was crap at getting them out myself and then got a cracked sore nipple pretty much straight away and they have worked a treat and totally saved the day.

I keep getting different info about how long to use them for but at the mo Lily has thrush in her mouth so I'm not going to think about getting rid of them until that clears up. They are superb though - really thin and makes it so easy and painfree.
