Nipple piercing

Has anyone had a pierced nipple and breast fed? Did you have any problems?

Without the piercing in i mean, wouldn't put jewellery in a baby's mouth!!!

Hi ..
I had my nipple pierced, and just wore a plastic retainer, I cannot say tho it didnt get in the way, it did !

So, much so I took it out. I dont regret it at all, I guess I thought baby came first. I had the piercing for many years and enjoyed it whilst I had it.

Theres no reason you cant breast feed with one, its personal preference I guess.

I took mine out at about 10 weeks pregnant with my first. (nearly 3 yrs ago now!) and I breast fed him, then his brother no problem. I still have the hole where the bar used to go, but definatly no problems with feeding.

Thats good then, thank you both. I was thinking stuff like coz there's a hole the ducts would get blocked and cause an infection or something!
