Please tell me I'm not the only one...
My lo is now 19 weeks and I still wake up once or twice a nigh patting the covers or sometimes rifling through my bed covers trying to find baby because I'm half asleep thinking she's in the bed smothered.

She usually wakes about 5am and I feed her and wind her. Sometimes I let her sleep on my chest or in my arms. I always push the covers well away and take pillows off the bed to safely cosleep.

Does anyone else have nightmares like this?

I used to have them and read on here, I think, that its normal. I used to feed LO in bed but always winded him and put him in his own crib/cot and still had the nightmares-they're really frightening.

I used to do the same. Reading on here it's quite common. It doesn't last so don't worry xx

I still get this and my little girl is 8 months, like you it's cause she comes into my bed at 5am and I just get a boob out and let her go for it while I try and sleep again

It's very common

I got them in the early weeks too. I had to stop sleeping with a teddybear in bed as I kept waking up convinced he was my daughter.

I had them for months and it was awful, searching round the bed and bedroom for my baby only to find him in the bed nest or even when he went in his own room (6mt)! Stopped now he's 11 months but I think it's quite normal. X

Yep I have this problem too! It calmed down when baby went into his own room at night at around 4months but I do still get it occasionally. Do you have any teddies in the bed? I found they contributed to it x

Thanks ladies, glad I'm not the only one and it seems like most of you have gone through this. I hope it passes soon because it's awful.

No teddies in our bed no, but I may try putting her in her own cot in her own room because she's currently sleeping in a travel cot in our room. She's been too big for her moses basket since like 3mo
