I am starting to get uncomfy turning and need to make lots of groaning to avvompany the effort now

Last night I slept for half an hour between 1 and 2 and then finally fell asleep at 5.30. How can this happen when I was majorly exhausted and went to bed at half nine? I had been at work for 10 hours and was bushed then couldn't sleep :x

Me too, I think that's one of the reasons we'll be finding it so difficult to sleep. I've got pillow under bump and one between knees too- don't you find when turning they are a pain in the **** too- cause they get tangled in covers and I can never put them in the right comfy place the first or second time :x

I've got one of those wedge pillows so it is fairly easy to turn with- I am not sure whether to get a bigger one due to the amount of times I would need to wrestle it during the night

I am also having real problems turning at night cos not only do I have terrible back ache but now I have a terrible pain in my pubic bone. I feel the need to accompany the turning with a big groan and maybe some swearing too...

I was up again last night at 1:00am thinking it must have been about 5:00am, am getting really fed up with the insomnia when I am absolutely exhausted.

I am actually using a teddy bear under my bump  . It is from Canada and supposed to be a brown bear laid out flat with the paws either side. I find that my bump fits perfectly into the space between the paws currently.

For me it works better then a pillow, but i'm not giving it out for testing :shakehead:

I know the feeling all too well! its horrible :x but ive got it down to only one turn a night now so its not so bad lol. i tend to cheat, when i wake ill get up, goto the loo then go back in bed facing the other way  then 2-3 hours later do it again! lol

loving that pic midna :rotfl: but i totally agree, cant wait to have sleepless nights from a newborn instead of being uncomfortable lol

Mine Constantly Aches When Im Sleeping & Its Horrible Trying To Turn Over. Iv Ended Up On My Back Which, Yeah,Yeah.. I Know Im Not Allowed... But It Never Lasta Long Coz I Get Massive Back Ache nd Go Back On My Side! All This Is Helped By a Full Bladder Which Is Just Lovely

I had a wrought iron headboard which I reached up behind me and grabbed to help roll me over in the night.

Provided your baby doesn't cry in the night I've found it is much easier to have sleep broken through baby feeding than sleep broken through pain.

Thankfully I sleep well on my side...until I get cramp at the top of my leg and have no choice but to turn over. That's when the fun begins because the effort of turning wakes me up, so I now wake up on average about 10 times a night and end up feeling like I haven't slept. Like Carly, if I try to sleep on my back for a while to relieve my legs, I get backache, so have to turn again. And I got another 10/11 weeks of this? Oh lordy!

OMG don't even get me started on this...

I dread every night because I can never stay in one position for more than 30 minutes. I get Braxton hicks at night, they wake me up each time and i have to go for a wee when it happens, otherwise i can't sleep. :x

I am so tired all the time now as I just can't get a good sleep at night anymore.

If I do get comfortable, - baby isn't or I need to get up for the loo.

I start the night by going to sleep sitting up in bed. By the time I wake in the morning, or for toilet trips, I am on my side. This seems to have helped the past 2 nights. Hopefully it won't get worse.

It is hellish. Not only does it kill my pelvic region but I have to stop half way to let the baby catch up or else it hurts my tummy! Today when I woke up I'd been sleeping on my right side and my tummy was seriously right hand lop sided when I rolled to the middle!

I used this as an excuse for why a child in the class I was teaching couldn't go to the toilet straight after lunch time today. He said "...But I've got a full bladder" and I said "I've got a baby that kicks and jumps on my bladder and it does it at 3.30 in th morning!" He didn't really argue...

I dread bedtime too. I seem to sleep well til about midnight, then i'm really sore in every position other than my back...and I can't sleep like that

I keep thinkin, I'll go see if midnas up but then just grumble about feeling sorry for myself instead

:rotfl: i did the exact same thing last night too!!

Tonight.....I'll be looking for you :rotfl:
