Night feeds

Up to now I have always taken a tray upstairs with a flask of hot water, my powder and bottles on and made each night feed up fresh. I have just bought a bottle warmer though, and am thinking of taking the feeds up ready made and reheating them as faffing about with flasks and scoops at 3am isn't fun!

I know I need to make them, cool them then pop them in the fridge, but where do people leave them when they go to bed? Do you crawl downstairs and fetch them from the fridge in the middle of the night? Or do you take them up in a coolbag? Would it be safe to take them up in a coolbag? Any advice or tips gratefully received! Thanks. xxx

I make up fresh just before bed & keep in a bottle bag in her room

Lived in flat so no stairs so made them up or got them out of the fridge x

You will find a way that suits you hun x

I take a flask and pots of 7oz so I don't have to faff around I can just pour straight into the water

By the time I've been for a wee and changed Ella's bum etc the bottle is usually about ready to give to her

Hubby use to bet up and go warn the bottle down stairs in the microwave while I changed his bum also if helped as we have one at school so it helped that way as well

I make all the feeds up fresh during the day. at bedtime i made a couple of bottles fresh (roman gets up twice a night atm) and put one in a bottle bag that keeps the bottle warm for a few hours so when he wakes up its a good temp and still warm. and the other i put in the fridge and bung it in the microwave for about 30seconds when i need it. couldnt be doing with making up bottles in the middle of the night, tried that and it was a nightmare with a screaming baby in the middle of the night lol

Once you open one any left has to be kept in fridge x i used it for a while x

I just make it up when Emily wakes up. I suppose i'm luckily that she will drink it at any temperature so I don't warm it. X

We use the ready made cartons, so much easier plus the bottles are a nightmare to clean with the powder


But now we've just found out Abi has a tolerance to the milk and she has to have special milk prescribed to her which comes in the powder so I'm dreading it because I've been so used to just using the cartons, she starts it on monday...x
