Didnt even have time to do a this is it thread cause it all went in such a blur lol...
Id been havin lots of false starts which put me to 3cm at my check up on Thursday-after the app from about 12 I started gettin contractions every 10mins (thought it was another false start as felt the same and expected it to die off around 7pm like it usually did) but I got 2 that time and it didnt go away. I got bouncing on my ball to take my mind off things lol. At about 10pm they really started to intensify - they werent getting closer together but were starting to last ALOT longer (about 3-4 mins) and REALLY intense so I started trying to ring the hospital... Engaged! Lol, finally got through about 11.15 and was told its best to wait until theyr every 5 mins but I got a contraction over the fone and hearing how I had to breathe through it she said come in to get checked so off we went, picked up conor and hit the road - got to the hospital about quarter to 12 I think it was - got offered gas&air while she checked me - I was 4cm
felt a bit disheartened and took two puffs of gas while she was up there as was a bit uncomfortable. I was sick for the next 15 minutes!! I dont know if it was the gas but I think it was and it scared me so didnt touch the stuff again. Did the rest on breathing techniques alone . When I got up to the room I started walking about, squatting, all fours and leaning over the headboard while I contracted for a while which were intense as hell but I didnt wna go for the gas again and just prodded on with it. Told the midwife to run me a bath (I wanted a birthin pool room but they were taken) so she agreed and off she went. When she was away I started feeling LOADS of pressure and started shoutin the babys comin, she laughed and said "youv plenty of time pet, he'l prob be here about 6-7". I said well somethings happenin so I guess I need to poo, waddled to the toilet and had to push, screamin; no poo - got in the bath and after two BIG contractiong his head was crowning - the midwife near died :L!! Head came out and i seen him under the water was so perfect when his head started turning round to face me!! 
Then out he came and up onto my chest - and just started lookin round him
His name is Cayden Riley Dwaine Doonan, born on the 27th of April 2012 (his due date) at 1.15a.m. weighing 6lb12 and 47cm Hes perfect, such a good baby and hes my world
On the downside I tore the whole way up my birth canal and needed a dissolvable stitch equivalent of around 20 stitches aparently :/ ouchie, wasnt and still isnt pleasant but totally worth it and I would do it all again in a heartbeat!!
