I've got a mixture of Avent and the TT Closer to Nature...I have to say the TT ones look a little different but are supposed to be closer to breast feeding than other bottes and given I want to breastfeed they might be easier for DH to do the feeds, save baby getting nipple confusion. The Avent ones I have came with a kit (steriliser, breast pump, bottles, carry cases, bottle warmer, creams, breast pads etc). I have no experience of using either as yet.

I have always used the Avent bottles. Personally I would just buy the 9oz bottles and get some level 1 teats for them. If you buy the smaller bottles you won't use them for long and then you will have to buy the larger ones anyway. I bought my bottles from Asda and Tesco and I think I paid £11 or £12 for a pack of 3. I would buy 6 bottles as that will be enough for 24 hours of feeds.

We use TT Closer to nature, and they are fab, never had any probs, I bought thm all half price in Asda while I was PG. I know they look weird, but they are comfy to hold and teats are really soft..

They ome with slow flow teats but we swapped to medium flow after a week or two on recommendation of midwife as Ruby kept falling asleep on the bottle and never looked back. They are great x

We have a couple of the close to nature ones..I am breast feeding but Dylan took to the bottle no probs and goes back to the breast no probs so works for us

ive always used TT closer to nature

they have a wide neck easier to pour the powder in

Tezzy, do you use the powder dispensers? They are fab, measure the powder into them, and they sit on the neck of the bottle when you take a bottle out with you, when you come to make a botte, tip powder in and heat..they are great!! :cheer:

the avent bottles seem to be really good ( cause most people use them). dumb question but if my baby doesnt like the avent bottle can i change it?  (im so brainless hehe)

you are my evil twin :rotfl:

i have avent ones and found them really good i would say though get some size 2 teats in, as when we got home luke found the newborn size 1 teats too slow and got very frustrated. if your LO is not ready for them, then they can always be used later on.

I used to use avent and the reg tt nuby bottles and never had any problems with either brand.
I will try the new avent ones this time around

hey ladies thank you for all your comments. i went shopping AGAIN today ( i luv it). i brought the newborn avent starter kit. it looks really good. cant wait to start using it! ta luvz :)
