Hi all, first time posting but am having bit of a "what have I done moment" a bit of background.... please be gentle.

I'm 35 have a 15 year old son from a previous partner. Been with my partner for 8 years trying for 7ish years and tried with ex husband for 4ish years. So ttc 2nd for about 12 years 😯
I have PCOS....
Im currently on second cycle of 50mg clomid (have tried it previously but never caught)

I had a CD13 uss where they found 5 mature follicles on my right ovary and 1 on my left-i have never responded like this. I was told i must abstain......i have not abstained 😨 I know it's too late but after 12 years the temptation was too great.... I am a midwife so should know better and understand the risks multiples can cause 🙁 anyone had a similar experience?

I haven't had a similar experience but anyone could see why you would try.
I would have.

Telling a woman to use contraception after years of ttc is like torture. I would have done the same as you. Don't feel bad!

I would have done the same as well!! I work in NICU but sometimes our professional and personal minds don't mesh well together!! Hopefully after 12 years of ttc this will be your month!! Hoping everything goes well and you get the result you want

Quick update.
Had progesterone check done.... turns out it was taken on day 5 in error but my level was 155 ��apparently that's a strong ovulation indicator..... 1 week to go

Hi Twinkletoes. Could you possibly pop over to the October testing thread and share your stories? There are a few ladies on there who have been trying for a while who are very much in need of some positive stories from women who have taken a while to conceive. Xxx
