Hi newbie to all this, I looking for some advice my little girl was born at 35+2, we are having some problems with were she sleeps, we had a cot bed but she hated it as she was so lost in it and she could get side ways which was dangerous so we bought her a crib she wont settle in it unless we roll up a blanket either side of her but don't no if this is safe? I wonder what we can do to help her settle? Also what bedding do you use? We may try her in her mosses basket at night if she wont settThank you

This is picture of her in her crib and her mosses basket (blanket is weaved in and out of bars at bottom of crib as her legs go straight through other wise)

AWWWW bless...:)

My Lo used to sleep in his mosses basket and we used to swaddle him, this made him feel safe and secure. Worth a try chick xxxxxxxxx We used a cellular blanket for swaddling and two blankets over the top aswell. But he was born in feb so it was cold then dearxxxxxxx :):)

I used to swaddle Matthew, and have him in his moses basket! It was the only way he would sleep at night! good luck hun!
XxX

thank you both will try this!

yh same here.... my lil man was 5 1/12 and was tiny too! we swaddled him and then put a blanket over the top.

we also put him in a moses basket

Swaddling is brilliant, makes them feel as snug as they did when they were still inside :) I don't think thats its dangerous to wedge her in with a towel/blanket as long as she can't turn her face too far into it? Im pretty sure you can buy a wedge thing for little babies to make them feel secure - it's hard to explain but its like a mat with a wedge on either side of where the babies head goes, a friend of mine used one with her premature baby x

we swaddled too and that helped. Looks fine with though blankets there, she can't get them over her head or anything. she is gorgeous :)
