Hello everyone,

Has anyone else been through this that they can't get pregnant after a early miscarriage? sorry for asking on my first time in this bit, but i have seem to have lost all hope ever trying to concieve again and i am pushing near 35 so age is not on my side now.

Thanks

hi hun! I'm sorry for your loss!

I haven't experienced that, so can't help you there. Have you seen a doctor? I would go see a doctor and get some tests done if I were you.

Lots of luck to you hun!

xx

Hi Snoop

Sorry to hear your news. We are scarily in exactly the same situation - I miscarried last April and still not pg. Deffo go to your docs and get referred to specialist, we are finally getting somewhere (a bit) with fertility specialist and have another appointment in a few weeks. Turns out I have PCOS and uterine cyst/polyp which is why we haven't conceived, still not sure how it happened the first time! Hopefully there will be nothing wrong and your little one is just taking its time, but at least with test etc you will know for sure.

Good luck, keep us posted!

Sarah xxxx

Hiya Snoop :)

I@m realy sorry for your loss

I was going to suggest talking to Sarah1 ;)

Have you had your FSH bloodwork done because that will instantly tell you if your egg quality is starting to decline. Just a blood test and a weeks wait.

It is very possible that you have an underlying fertility issue but the possibility was disregarded after you got pregnant when in fact the pregnancy could have been a fluke.

The odds might not be good for people with fertility issues, but they are rarely impossible so you never know.

Have you had any fertility investigations done for you and your partner?

If there is an issue it could still be just as likely your partner than yourself. Abnormal sperm cells can result in miscarriage...

Don't delay because like you mentioned you are 35 and i think 39 is the cut off for certain Nhs funded treatments

Hey Snoop

I am still here too, I think we joined the forum around the same time :(

I went and saw my GP after about 6 months of trying, took a while for them to do all the tests and bits but it was discovered that I did have a problem, I am now taking some drugs which will hopefully get me pregnant, so I would def suggest you go and see your doctor and have some tests done to make sure everything is ok xxxx

Thanks evereyone, i have not had any test but after reading what you are all **saying i think i will phone my GP when i get in tonight and see if i can get the ball moving to get some help.

Vicky how you doing? yeah we joined around the same time, i honestly thought i was the last on the shelf from when i joined lol. Its been a long time since i have been on and plenty false alarms on the way x

This is my recent false alarm, with now loose bowls to join in the confusion ( Started this morning), which is weird as i am on medication to help in that department but now i don't!. Here is the link to my other thread

I am really glad to find this part on the forum its going to be a great help with every one around in the same situtation on TTC.

Thanks again for the advice :) better log off before i get caught on here by my boss, will try and nip on in a bit lol.

No you are not the only one left hun, I think you may recognise a few of us still left on the shelf, we have all moved in here now.

I do think it would be good to have a chat with your GP, with the amount of time you have been trying they should def send you off to have some tests done, will probably start with bloods first, then possibly a scan of your ovaries, sperm sample .... those are all the tests I have had done, am now on Clomid (a fertility drug) for the next 3 - 6 months to help me ovulate after that I will be having my tubes checked to make sure they are not blocked.

There is so much the doctors can do these days so it keeps me hopeful.

I really couldnt say if the bleed and bad tummy are a good or bad thing, anything thats different to normal I try and look at as a good thing but in this game you just never know.

Let us know how you get with the doctors xxxxxxxxx

Thanks Vicky, Got hold of the doctors I can't get a appointment till 24th due, thats the quickest they can give me. Just thought i would nip on quickly to let you know. x

It does seem like an awfully long time but as long as they are good to you when you get there that's all that matters :)

Welcome to the PF forum....

I had a early miscarriage and I felt it was a miracle, because my o/h has very low sperm count and been trying for over 4 years now, coming up to 5 years....We haven't conceived at all since then and now awaiting our fertility treatment, in which I want to hurry up lol

35 years old aint that old, I know people who have had babies in their 40's! I am sure you will be ok, have you been to the doctors yet, regarding fertility treatment or advice on this?

x
