Since becoming pregnant and having Rubie, I have a whole new set of friends, and I must say they are the best friends I have ever had. I seldom see my old mates any more but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love being a mummy. :D

I love that too, I'm still mates with all of the girls from my ante-natel group 5 years ago when I had Mason. The only reason I went to ante-natel this time was to meet people, and we all go to baby group every week now too :)

do u both mix well??

i dont as i never speak to any one unless they talk to me... so stupid but i cant help it, im very out going and loud but some times can be the complete opposit

I will talk to anyone, I'm not shy :D

Im the same, too quiet to approach someone but if they talk to me then Im fine!

when they are my age i wil but not the older ones???

dont no y???

I will watch someone first and see if they are my kind of person, then make conversation.

I'm the same I am very shy and wouldn't dream over going over to someone and starting a conversation, even more so with the older ones. Think it's cos they might thing I don't know what I'm talking about and I'm immature. I know I'm not I sometimes just feel like they will think that.

Luckily everyone at my mum and baby group were really nice and if I didn't talk to them first they would talk to me so I got on with everybody. An easy way to break the ice is talk to thier baby :D

i dont go to mumm and baby group
i dont know neonw with a baby im all alone in the world
u guys are my support lol
i love u xxxxxxxxxxxx

i feel on edge with other peoples babies like they might be looking thinking "ew dont touch her"

the other week Dior put her dummy into another lil girls mouth as she was crying and the mum went errrrr thats dirty to her daughter... im sorry but babies will be babies and the should be able to explore each other and put there fingers in each other mouth if it makes them happy

stupid woman my lil girls mouth is not Dirty

A lot of my friends have babies but they have all gone back to work full time and we never get chance to meet up. My sister (bossbump) has just has a baby so hope we can start going to mum and baby groups together soon.

wow didnt realise you were sisters.

thats great you can do loads together

Yeah i hope so! Want to get close to my first niece! :D

if another baby stuck there dummy in Ellas mouth I think Id just laugh!
Everyone at my baby group is really nice, and its only a small group of people aswell which I think makes it easier

I'm very shy and hate having to go into a group with new people. Once I know someone I am ok, but I get really nervous meeting people.

I'm not a mixer in general and have only ever had one or two friends (even casual ones) at a time. My friends are my family, generally - the lady next door and I go walking together to shed those post baby pounds - her lil lad is a year old. And I have one colleague that I'm close to, she's three years older than me and has five kids, the rest of my colleagues are my mother's generation.

The only parent and child group around here I tried for the first time this morning, I was the only one who turned up except for the co-ordinator who turned up 10 minutes before the group was due to finish!

SO this forum has been very helpful and friendly, a godsend throughout a very difficult pregnancy. And it continues to be!

But I'm in Ireland, so I can't meet up with you guys though I'd love to. Anyway, it's good to have pals online here. :D

OOhhhhhhhhh bless Dior what a thoughtful little darling.

I hate meeting people in large groups too, dont know why cos i always get on well with people :?
