Some of my friends are doing this new fb meme where they make out they're pregnant but really it's something to do with their birthday. Remember the bra colour thing? And the 'I like it on the...' thing? All supposedly to help raise 'awareness' for breast cancer? I've no idea how it's supposed to help raise awareness if nobody knows what it means but there you go.

It's pathetic it really is

What if one of their friends is having problems conceiving and they don't know?! Totally insensitive and childish.

Rant over lol

I actually agree there! Someone sent it to me and I got extremely pissed off. "insinuate you're pregnant for breast cancer awareness!", I just lost a child, I think I'll pass. I've never done them anyway though they annoy me. People are constantly raising awareness for breast cancer for women. Earth to people, MEN get breast cancer too... I think WOMEN have had enough awareness cheers.

If anyone does it on my wall I will tell them actually, I don't support slactivism and if they want kudos for raising awareness, donate to a charity. I lost my Auntie due to Breast Cancer and this pathetic attempt at making themselves feel good without actually doing anything gets on my goat something chronic.

None of my friends have posted about that, I would go mental if they did - how can you pretend you are pregnant?

Because some people are senseless.
It's true, I'd rather do something about it than post some useless shit about my bra.
My fiance wants to do a charity gig cause he's a musician so I'm gonna help him out with that, raising awareness for breast cancer, proceeds going to a male breast cancer charity. You know, something that actually helps. You never know, you might get lucky and I might actually sing at it lol.

It's for breast cancer awareness, which is coming up in October I think... or Rocktober as I like to call it lol Such a loser lol

xxxxxx

I think it's awful too. My sister in law (who I have a lot of time for) sent it to me. I lost baby in January and you'd think she'd have had more sense. I didn't forward.

My DH was reading some of his FB posts and one of his friends had participated and he said "is she pregnant again??"

I know it's breast cancer awareness month and all that, but would it not make more sense to actually do something that raises awareness for breast cancer? Cause it kinda doesn't....
*hugs butterfly*

I don't get it either. I googled it to find out what it was coz I saw a status and thought the girl was preggo, then another and another and thought WTF is this? So googled it.

I don't get why people don't just put something about breast cancer awareness, I think that would get awareness up more lol

I saw some of these people saying "24 weeks and I'm craving ...." it was like wtf! I don't get how it does anything for cancer

Where do they get the number from? Is that a specific number for anything? I think it's bloody stupid x

I think FB and Twitter and all those places if they're that fussed, should just say something like 'It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for every person that reposts this, we'll donate £1 to Cancer Research' Then I'd do it.

I got my friend in trouble with her parents on that one,

she put up "Im 12 weeks and craving (insert choclate here)" so i replied with "Are you seriously pregnant? have you told your mom?"

and of course she has family on fb, and they flipped :P

Ha! Wonder how many times over that's gonna happen

Since I said on fb how childish it was and that I would delete/block anyone stupid enough to do it I haven't seen it since. I only have 'actual' friends on fb, most of whom know we struggled to conceive, and most of whom know my mom had breast cancer

The weeks (1-12) represent the months, then the craving part is listed 1-31 as some food or something. That's what I found on google anyways.

I don't get it. I missed the bra size thing last year somehow, but all women in my FB seem to be doing this one!

Meant to say the 1-12 weeks = months so you pick your birth month and 1-31 craving is your birth day. So I would be 'I'm 1 week craving mini eggs' apparently! 1 = jan 27th = mini eggs!

Is that your birthday Maria? Jan 27th? It's mine too :)

I saw this too and it peed me off. My next status was

I am 37 weeks pregnant and craving vodka, weed, cigars and cocain!! Get real, wouldn't it be much more effective to make a donation to cancer research! :x

Now I'm pissed off. I've actually only had two 'friends' post this and they're like best friends together and always said they we're going to get pregnant together so I just assumed they were and deleted them because I didn't want to see another spoilt brat parade about over fb complaining of every little twinge when I didn't get to feel or even see a scan of my baba.

One of the girls knows about my billie and claimed when it had just happened she knew how I felt because she'd been through it. Really doubt her now tbh.

I find it hard to believe anyone whose lost a child would do that. TBH I find it hard to believe any sane person would post that tbh!

FFS what ever happened to sending donation money! or fundraising!
