So I have been around before, not sure if anyone will remember me but I was part of the Mum's Due board for October 2011 but gave birth 4 weeks early to a healthy baby girl in September 2011.
We have been TTC since but with no real push since DD was born and it’s not been until the last year that it’s really started to get me worried as nothing seems to be happening. So with this in mind both my husband and I went to visit our doctor and it has come back that my husband has a very low sperm count. We have been transferred to a fertility centre, mid- January 2014.
As you can imagine, it has came as quite a shock and that we’ve been pretty lucky to conceive our DD and that our chances of conceiving naturally again are slim to nothing so have no idea what happens next. What should I expect at this first meeting? What questions should I be asking?
I know it’s very early days but I’d like to be prepared.

I am in the same situation had our son 7yrs ago havn't used contraception since his birth but only 'actively' trying for our 2nd baby for 11 months now. At what point did you decide to see your GP? I'm worried I'll never have another baby so frightened that something is wrong :( xx

I mentioned it to my GP when seeing her about something totally different.
I was having problems with bacterial vaginosis for about 12+ month and was so worried about it being an on-going problem mentioned that I was worried that this was the reason that I hadn't fell pregnant already, to which she began asking questions and said that the normal wait time to see a GP after TTC was after 12 months. For us, it has passed the 2 year mark when we saw our GP so we were seen and had blood test/specimens done within a couple of weeks via the GP surgery.
It came back as problems on my DH's side so we have been referred to see a fertility specialist, mid January.
