I think I had convinced myself I was pregnant as been waking up with aching boobs, weeing more. I have PCOS and tbh not sure I am ovulating my cycles are 32-36 days. Today is 32. I just thought if I was I would defo see a squinted on a FR! I don't k ow why I use them I always get a nasty Evap in the first minute and then disappears leaving it stark white.
I know we are all in the same boat and I do have 2 beautiful boys. I am with a new partner who doesn't have children. I was so upset seeing it today. I promised I wouldn't let it effect me , just can't help it. Since my miscarriage in April 2016 I don't think I have been ovulating. OPKs I don't think are effective with PCOS.

Xxxxx

Hi jacko sorry about your bfn, even worse when you think you see something! What makes you think your opks aren't working for you?

Well I haven't used them, I just read that a lot of people who have PCOS they aren't reliable. I was going to get a fertility monitor but if not ovulating then is it worth it. Or I might be ovulating just with longer cycles Think I am being negative. I just k ow I have put on a lot of weight nearly 3st And facial hair well on my neck is bad and linger cycles so just assuming I'm not working. I want to have my bloods done, maybe scan but I don't think my gp will do it because I have two children. I don't know, just feeling a bit lost at the moment X

Sorry you're having a rough time. I have pcos and they work for me so maybe worth trying the cheap opks and going from there? Longer cycles don't mean you're not ovulating. Those things are symptomatic of pcos but they don't mean you're not ovulating. I'm presuming you had pcos when ttc your little boys?). How long have you been ttc with your new partner?

Well we got pregnant in April but MC. Since then I have put on weight, and had longer cycles. That's interesting I will defo give them a go. Are your cycles longer? X

They're not now but always are post MC. Mine return to normal after a few months but it varies between women I imagine. I'm also overweight (by more than you!) and can get pg so don't rule yourself out. Maybe start with the cheap opks. Take care of yourself too, so easy to forget this especially when you have little ones x

Sorry to hear about your BFN and how it's effected you.

It is so hard when we convince ourselves our symptoms are telling us that we are pregnant. I agree with the above, take care of yourself hun

Thank you both. I am going to try and relax with it all now (easier said than done) I am also going to buy some opks and have a go. Cuddling my beautiful boys in bed this morning makes me realise how lucky I actually am. Xxxxx

Sorry about the bfn :( our bodies are so cruel with symptoms!

I might be wrong but I think gps still do still offer bloods (and maybe even a scan) if you already have children, so maybe worth checking?
