So, me and my oh already have our baby boy Charlie who is 7 months, annnnd on friday I found out to my absolute shock that I am pregnant again!!
I am just reading up on money for when the baby is born- last year I worked at a theme park and was on a temp year contract, and my maternity leave ends at the beginning of June...I was on Maternity Allowance and not smp as I started working there after I fell pregnant..I was due to go back there but after I left to go on mat leave they took me off the payroll and I assume they would renew my contract when I came back, as they keep asking my friends from work if/when I'm back.
However I didn't and still don't plan on going back there as because of my position there it was 6 days a week 8-6 and I wouldn't see my little man, plus I hate the place anyway... so was looking for a part time evening job whilst oh watched charlie to keep me going until whenever my due date is to qualify for ma again.
Reading up on the eligibility conditions it mentions about the working period and says it includes if I was on statutory maternity leave as working...does this count for me even if they took me off the payroll and stuff? Not meaning to be lazy or anything but I wanna take it a bit easier this time round, was working myself into the ground last year and made myself unwell, also I wanna spend time with Charlie and he still is a nightmare in the nighttime, so I don't fancy working all evening and then having to sort him out all night and morning (oh 'doesn't hear him')
