Need help... possible miscarriage

Hi all,

So I’m a bit nervous as yesterday I went to the ER for some spotting and when they did the transvaginal ultrasound, the gestational sec showed up but no yolk or fetal pole. I was 6 weeks and 2 days yesterday. My HCG was 29,973 and the gestational sac was measuring on point so the doctor said it really wasn’t adding up as that with an HCG level that high that more should have showed on the ultrasound. She said to come back in 48 hours so I can get my labs re done and another ultra sound to see if there’s any progression.


The spotting also had nothing to do with the ultrasound results. She said that was just regular spotting.

Have any of you had this happen and the heart beat showing up? My mom thinks I have a blighted ovum.

My hcg is 41k but I have a blighted ovum. Calling my regular OB tomorrow to have a d&c. Nothing is showing on ultrasounds but an empty gestational sac.

I'm so sorry hun... I have no words for comfort. I hope your family and friends are there to support you through this.

I sadly know how tough it can be to lose a pregnancy, you will need time to grieve and heal. Don't do anything you don't want to do, you will have to go through this in your own way and your own time.
