Right, yesterday I had very little money left in my account. It said my balance was high but what was available was low. It's meant to be low I've bought loads for Christmas, but now available is back up to the higher amount, I have no idea how much money I really have and the things I've recieved today haven't come up on my account at all as being paid for?

I hope I'm not going to get done for fraud :wall2:

My natwest account did that last week, unfortunately it was a oment that my head wasn't working and I got confused several times over... ended up thinking that I had ben initially right, I hadn't been and ended u going overdrawn! the moral to my little take over is be careful :)

Cash point is saying the money is still there too. If I go overdrawn surely it's their fault and they can't charge me?! Seeing as I have a mini-statement saying I have money?!

u can try but I bet natwest have an answer for charging u...

I'm not friends with natwest anymore!

Your available balance is the amount you have to spend - anything ordered with your card will be deducted at processing payment (using your card in a shop) the only one that is slow is paypal always watch for that.

Online statements don't update where your deducted balance has gone straight away.

The cashpoint and online said I had it available. It's gone today anyway so they were lying yesterdy

Natwest screwed me over with this when I closed a bank account with them. I had 2 accounts and the long and short of it was they gave me money that was already earmarked to go out. Because that payment then went out the next day after I had withdrawn my money I went overdrawn and the account closure didn't go through.... I found out nearly 2 ears later when the interest had racked up to almost 150% of the original overdraft.

natwest said it was my fault because I should have known what amount I was withdrawing not just asked to "withdraw any money and close the account"...

I am still in a war of letters with them because they are refusing to even apologise to me let alone refund all the charges!
