if baby has nappy rash and is sleeping 6 hours during the night, is it wise to wake her up for a nappy change or should she be lesft alone? Thanks

If you can change baby without waking them then I'd say yes definately. Isaac has never really had nappy rash though to I'm not much help, sorry

Dylan suffers a lot with nappy rash. MW said metanium was the best stuff out there but did nothing at all for him we've found sudacrem to be the best. fantastic stuff!!
We do leave dylan about 6 hours in the night without changing his nappy but through the day he gets about 4 hours (in seperate periods) without a nappy on at all. After a feed he has about an hour of "happy time" he just looks at everything and makes cute little noises but he doesnt need anyone or anything he just entertains himself. So i make sure hes had a good feed then put him on his changing mat with a big old sheet underneath take off his nappy, clean him and just let him relax. Its shocking how much quicker he gets better because he suffers terrible bless him. he skin comes up in little blisters the skin all breaks and is red raw. not nice to see :( But yea we do leave him for a few hours through the night but try and compensate through the day.
:)

Yeah id try and change bubs if you can, as nappy rash can become very nasty and like open wounds, Hopes was like this

You could maybe put cream on her before bed and smear a little on the inside of her nappy too? I've done this before when Isaac has had a sore winky and he won't let me touch it to put cream on. Its diferent with boys though.

have you tryed vaseline for night time? as its oil based bum doesnt get as damp from nappy my oldest daughter use to get it bad and at bed time i use to but tons on plus talc over the top and morning time her bum was never red or sore hope that helps

Good idea! Vaseline is good because it forms a barrier :)
