Names for baby Urchin! *Update page 3*

It's your kid so name him whatever you and OH agree on!

Oh I'm just trying to keep names that my family will be able to pronounce LMAO!!!
It's taken them 3years to pronounce my other halfs name right (although admittedly it took me 1 year lol!)
They always say uzman...i'm like "noooo" :wall: "it's usman or if you wana pronounce it how I do usmaan" - slight stretch on the a makes it sound more like the original name uthman  (which funnily enough his birth certificate says Uthman in arabic but when his mum got it tranlated to english for his passport she put Usman on it because it's a more popular name in pakistan...what's that all about?? :wall:  )

Urchin I think Riley is a great strong sounding name.

Your not the type of person to take any shit, so why not politely remind your mom that he is your baby and youl call him what the hell you like.

People should think before they open their gobs, naming a baby is such a personal thing and i dont think anyone should say a dicky bird about whether they like it or not, after all its not theri kid!

Stuff what people say and call him what you want. Do you know how much stick i got off my mil when i gave imogen her middle name? too damn much - bu it was a case of telling people to shut and mind theirs.

I hope you guys pick the name soon, i cant wait too hear what his official name is - its so exciting!

Good luck Urchin!!!

I think Riley really really goes with Mason and Brody. If you like it, you should have it. Stuff what anyone else thinks!!

I am amused your other thinks like this, my MIL is EXACTLY the same and would hate it if we had an Irish name, she says Irish people are all drunks etc (she forgets half my family and OH's family are Irish, including my mum). I find it quite odd as our last name -and hers - is very very very Irish too!!! (there is no mistaking it for anything else!!)

People, tsk!

Did you settle for a name yet Urchin, or have I missed the thread

Urchin said:
 Go for reily... It fits in well with Mason and Brody... my inlaws wanted something more scandinavian sounding than Serena Kaia, and English people always pronounce it "Sereeena" which I hate because it reminds me of tennis.

Giving a name to another human being is the hardest thing in the world... You'll never please everyone, but thats not what matters... its whether you, your OH and ultimately your baby will like it...

any name yet?

you're as bad as i was with my middle two babies. i couldn't think of one for weeks :(

Well I'm calling him Riley, OH has started saying he's not sure.. I told him to find a better name then... in the meantime... Riley it is :)

Mason, Brody and Riley sound great together!! :D

I think Riley is a lovely name and it goes really well with Mason and Brody :D

I think that' a great name hun and it sounds so good with Mason and Brody too :D

Xxx

hehe, different situation but i did that when no one could agree on a name for our cat. I started calling her Pippi and in the end it stuck. Lol.

Riley is a lovely name :)

After Oh whining for a while that he wasn't sure about Riley he's admitted it's grown on him now so Riley it is. :D

I need to start using it more though, I'm so used to saying "the baby" or "Mr Dinky"

Now you've said that i quite like Mr Dinky, very exotic :)
Rileys a gorgeous name and not only does it fit in perfectly but i think he looks like a Riley, well done on finally deciding mrs
