Just wondering what people prefer out of the following names. Fletcher is in brackets cause i want it on the birth certificate as it's my name but will be silent :-

Boy - Aaron (Fletcher) Macdonald
Corran (Fletcher) Macdonald
Lewis (Fletcher) Macdonald

Girl - Kirsty (Fletcher) Macdonald
Kelidh (Fletcher) Macdonald
Isla (Fletcher) Macdonald.

I'm now sitting down to a whole pineapple to try to encourage baby to come, will probably have the runs by 12!

love lewis

how do you pronounce kelidh?
it sounds nice... is it like, kal-eed??

Its pronounced Kaaly, like the scottish Kelidh dance. I love Lewis too but the only thing that puts me off is that it was the most popular Scottish boys name of 2007

Pick Isla.... i have an Isla Stewart!!!

We are stuck this time tho, scottish names are generally not too nice.... :rotfl:

I would go with Isla and Lewis. They are lovely names :D

I'm not so sure about Kelidh. I think she'd get fed up having to spell her name all the time. The dance is spelt ceilidh so she wouldn't be able to say it was spelt like the dance and she would never come across someone who knew how to spell her name without telling them. I get fed up having to spell my name (Katherine) so I'm quite keen to give my child a name that others could spell easily. Although the s is silent in Isla so she'd get lots of cards with the wrong spelling as a girl, once she was an adult everyone should be able to spell her name.

Corran and Isla for me- but they are all nice names!

I agree with these girls Isla is a gorgeous good ole scots name
And Corran is really fab...means Raven does it not...so if he is dark then it would fit perfect..

I think you'll have a girl though....... don't ask me why......i just get these feelings.......

Good luck hun xxxxx :cheer:

I like Lewis and Isla best. Not surprising really as I always seem to agree with muppetmummy on names :rotfl:

I just thought i'd stick my nose in with regards to the Isla bit. My Isla has never has her name spelt wrong, most people know the S is silent and it is a scottish name anyway and popular so wouldnt be a problem in Scotland at all i'd say. Dont let that put you off. We live in the South and none of our clan from Aberdeen have ever not known the spelling.

I love the other names to but thought that version of Kaley was welsh not scottish?
