Hi ladies as you know I had my baby girl on may 4th. She is doing just great and is so beautiful. Unfortunately I'm not doing as well , im very sore down below and my nipples are so sore , cracked and bleeding that breastfeeding is absolutely unbearable. I feel awful I can't give her what she needs :(. My other half has been amazingly supportive even down to helping me bath and assisting me to express milk. He has even had to help me walk as I'm struggling to walk atm. Even though I'm in complete agony and completely exhausted I feel very blessed to have my beautiful girl :) here she us girls ... Emilie Mae Grace Britten <3 xxx

Hey Becky!

Congratulations, she's lovely!

Get some lanishoh and breast pads and nipple shields, use fresh pads and pack the cream on your nips after every feed! Use the nipple shields for a few days and give them a chance to recover!

If she's latching on correctly, it shouldn't be painful (letdown can be painful but this should go after ten seconds!) get in touch with some breast feeding support (midwife, NCT, children's centre, la la lache) and ask them to check latch for you!

I was really struggling after mine was born and it turned out she wasn't on correctly and my nipples were RUINED! They recovered after a few days of using shields and seeing someone for support!

The shields won't stop the bleeding ect but they stop the friction! Absolute life savers for me!

Best of luck xx
